Homecoming is All About School Spirit

Each year, when a customer purchases their homecoming dress from ASK Dress Boutique, we offer “school dress tracking”. We will not sell the same dress to someone going to the same school dance.  To celebrate the spirit of the homecoming season, we add a flag to our window to represent the school that our customers attend.  This year, ASK had customers from near and far as we proudly displayed 45 different school flags!  Our staff loves to hear where our customers are from, what the dance themes are for the year, and how each school celebrates homecoming.  Most of all . . . we were beyond excited that the dances took place this year!  And it sounds like everyone had a blast!

This Year’s Biggest Trends for Homecoming

What a fantastic season of exciting dresses!  There were a few new trends this year that we loved. One trend that added a fun twist on form-fitting dresses is one-shoulder styles.  One-shoulder dresses have a fashion-forward asymmetrical look and add a little “sass” to the ever-popular form-fitting styles. Sequin dresses were hot this homecoming and another new trend that we loved was plush sequins!  Luxurious soft fluffy fabric with sequins?  Yes, please!  Bright-colored dresses in electric blue, hot pink, and bright yellow were popular this year. We also saw more beaded fringe this homecoming.  These are all such fun trends that we hope continue during the upcoming prom season!

New Designers this Homecoming

We added two new designers to ASK’s inventory for this homecoming season – Rachel Allan and Sophia Thomas.   Our homecoming customers LOVED these new designer dresses!  We could hardly keep them in stock!  Our staff cannot wait for our customers to see the gorgeous styles that we have coming in from both of these designers, and our other tried-and-true designers, for the upcoming prom season.

Swag Bag Success!

Our first 100 customers that purchased their homecoming dress from ASK this season received a free swag bag full of coupons and goodies.  We’d like to give a huge “thank-you” to the local businesses that participated and provided items for the swag bags.
